Why I Became a Herbalife Distributor

I became a Herbalife Distributor about 6 years ago.
My initial motivation was to find a Business that I could run by myself. I wanted to get out of the rat race and I wanted to work for myself. My main criteria when looking at different businesses, and there were quite a few, were that the products had to be high quality, and I didn't want to be tied in to having to purchase a minimum product amount each month. I wanted to go at my own pace. Herbalife filled both these criteria.
I guess the other main factor that brought me to Herbalife was that it was promoting natural health supplements. But I wasn't sold straight away.
The good thing about becoming a Herbalife Distributor was that I could become a Distributor for a small amount of money, only about $100. Then I was encouraged to try the products for myself. Well, I did need to lose some weight so I wasn't averse to that at all. So I started on the Herbalife Weight Loss Program, and so did my husband (after I twisted his arm).
Initially we were both reluctant to replace two meals a day with two shakes. We were so used to eating food So we agreed to try replacing one meal a day. And we did this for a month. While we had a bit more energy, we didn't lose any weight. That's because you did need to have two shakes a day in order to lose weight.
Well we realised that we would have to "bite the bullet" and have two shakes a day. We both went onto the Herbalife Advanced Program.
Well we both started to lose weight within the first week. And I went on to losing 11 kg and 3 dress sizes. My husband lost his gut and dropped a total of 15 kgs.
We were sold from that point on. We'd had our positive experience and were ready to get into selling the product. We put in a major order over a two month period to get to Supervisor level and had cleared that stock within two months.
I have now been a distributor for 6 years and have helped hundreds of people to achieve their weight loss goal. It is now my full time business and I Answer only to myself and my clients. I am extremely motivated because I only have myself to rely on and because the harder I work the more rewards I reap.
