Rod - Skin Cancer Recovery
"My name is Terri Dart and this testimony is about my husband, Rod. Back on February 1st 2002 he had surgery on his left ear to remove skin cancer.
"The doctor told Rod that he would have a quarter-sized area removed down to the cartilage; there would be excessive swelling and then a permanent scar. If Rod elected to have a skin graft, they would have to take skin from behind his ear and stitch it to the affected area which of course would leave two wounds to heal and scar. He told Rod he could risk avoiding the skin graft and see if it would heal enough on its own and since Rod had a choice he opted to forgo the graft and take his chances.
"They did the surgery and sent him home with an antibiotic gel and gauze pads. He was told that the antibiotic gel would only work for two days, after that he would have to use vaseline and keep the area moist at all times. Rod used the gel for the first two days, but after that he used the Herbal Aloe Body Wash to clean the area, and then liberally applied the Herbal Aloe Gel and the gauze pad every day.
"After a few days we could see that the area had started to heal and skin was actually starting to grow back! On February 10th, Rod went back to the doctor for a follow-up visit.
